The Department of Secondary Science is excited to invite your students to participate in the Neighborhood Naturalist Camp, in partnership with the Georgia Aquarium. This engaging and hands-on 4-day camp will allow students to explore science and nature through kayaking, water testing, hiking, outdoor observations, and much more.

Camp Details:

• Middle School Camp: June 9–12, 2025
   

• High School Camp: June 23–26, 2025
   

• Time: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
   

• Transportation: A Chartered Bus will pick up and drop off students at the Tara Stadium (1055 Battle Creek Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30236). Students should arrive 30 minutes before departure.
   

Four chaperones (CCPS teachers) will accompany the 15 students for each camp.

Sign-Up Process:

• Please share the link with interested parents and students. Please have parents complete the form.
   

• The sign-up period will end on May 23, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
   

• A lottery selection process will be conducted to select students to attend the camp. Once the 15 spots for middle and 15 for high school are filled, students will be placed on a waitlist.
   

• Parents of selected students will be notified on May 26, 2025. At that time, more camp details and parent meetings will be scheduled.

Free Summer Lunch Program
