Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is pleased to share that Dr. Dee Haney, Clayton County Board of Education Representative for District 5, will partner with the Bethlehem City of Faith to host the 10th Annual Back to School Bash. This event will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 514 Valley Hill Road SE, in Riverdale. The bash will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will end at 3:00 p.m. Please see the attached flyer below to register for styles and cuts or to sign up as a vendor for this event.

The Clayton County Public Schools’ (CCPS) Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Department is excited to announce its annual Beauty & Barbering Community Services Event.  

This annual event provides Clayton County residents with an opportunity to receive affordable beauty and barbering services performed by students enrolled in the district’s Cosmetology and Barbering programs under the direct supervision of certified instructors.

In addition to providing valuable hands-on learning experiences for students, proceeds from the event support participating Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs).

This year’s Beauty & Barbering Community Services  event will be held at the following locations:

● Jonesboro High School – Beauty Salon & Barber Shop

● Forest Park High School – Beauty Salon

● Riverdale High School – Beauty Salon & Barber Shop

All three locations will operate:

Monday through Friday, July 6–17, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Services available include haircuts, line-ups, shampoo services, braiding, facials, manicures, and other cosmetology and barbering services

Clayton County Public Schools invites families, staff, community members, and stakeholders to join Interim Superintendent/CEO of Schools Dr. Douglas Hendrix Sr. and district leadership for the Building Mutual Trust Together Community Tour.

The first community conversation will be held on July 16, 2026, at Light of Joy Church, located at 7458 GA-85, Riverdale, GA 30274, beginning at 6:00 p.m. These sessions are designed to strengthen partnerships, encourage open dialogue, and create meaningful opportunities to engage around the success of every student in Clayton County Public Schools.
